BlogHer Sex Survey Results
This post is for the women at the Blogher conference that I just attended. We had a session about sex and blogging that I thought was the best, and most controversial session of the gathering.
I decided to throw together an Un-Official, Un-Authorized, Blogher Sex Survey!

Primarily philosophy---but I have recalled fond memories w/o using names.

On my blog, real name. Once upon a time I used a pen name for publishing erotica, but I use my real name for that too now, which feels liberating.

Oh Susie. You had to ask. 39. Once in a great while I'll lie and say I'm 36 (the difference here eludes me) and my son calls me out every time.

I like having sex w/ men but find them hard to live with. (Haha.) I used to fantasize about women a lot more: I don't know why those fantasies aren't as common for me lately. My grandma's copy of Balzac's "Droll Stories" when I was 9 or 10. I was really impressed and weirded out by the story of the guy who gets hung for some crime and some courtiers cut his body down and put it in an older woman's bed, and she tries to have sex with him. He turns out not to be dead after all, and the King made them get married. They were such filthy, twisted stories and yet the people in them were very casual about it. That's what I liked. They seemed to live by different rules. There were also the stylin' line drawings in the Odyssey which were pretty sexy- muscley naked men wrestling and with spears and stuff. So it was a book I was embarrassed to bring to school in case anyone would say it was a dirty book. So, I would totally imagine being Nausicaa or Athena in a cave on an island and rescuing the naked Odysseus from the ocean.

I write about my sex life (when I have one) and have been pretty open about my kinks (including role play, fisting, BDSM). At the moment I write more about how trying to conceive medically (I'm a dyke) is ruining my sex life!

Yes...it was either have an abortion or die. It was for medical reasons and I had to have a hysterectomy the same day.

Yes. I almost didn't make it though and he was born 2.5 months early. I was never supposed to be able to get pregnant, decided to try to make it through the pregnancy, and then had a hysterectomy 2 years later anyway. I was in intensive care for two weeks after delivery by C-Section and he was in the hospital for 3 months.
