Susie Interviews Katha Pollitt
This week on my audio show, In Bed, I start off with an examination of one U.S. senator's diaper
fetish— our kinky vanguard hypocrite of the week!
Then, in my latest New York studio interview, I talk with one of my heroes, feminist author Katha Pollitt, best known for her Nation magazine column "Subject to Debate."
Her new book, Learning to Drive: & Other Life Stories, includes her recollections of when she was very young and had entry-level job proofreading pornographic galleys.
Pollitt's writing is.. sublime. You rarely read feminism like this today. We talk about how sexual liberation got separated from women's liberation, braless hussies, the notion of the fragile male ego, and global feminism.

Then, in the "Try This at Home" mailbag, Susie responds to a listener who asks if prostitution can be done "tastefully." Would that be with the fork on the left?
