I thought your most intriguing points were in your summary.

That MTV-montage swinging camera thing-- I hate it. I don't think it's motivated by any sexual comprehension. If the point is to masturbate to this movies, and you are taking in the arousal with your eyes, you are going to be "fighting" the editing everytime they're cutting back and forth like this. It's a pathetic technique to broadcast that the director can't shoot worth a damn and tried to cover it up in the editing. And what, to sell it to an MTV producer as part of his resume package? Ugh. This kind of crap makes my head hurt.

Do you think they call it "couples porn" because that's derigueur now? Or because the women have nice makeup and clothes, is that what "couples' means now? Or do you think they get letters from women saying, "wow, I did this kind of sex?"

I think it's the hair and makeup-- I think that's the only point they understand.

When you said you wouldnt' watch it with your girlfriend, did you mean your very own personal girfriend, or just the average gal? Tell me more about the anxiety you can imagine in the three scenes you describe. Did you feel more turned on or less turned on because of that apprehension?

The thing that would turn me off about this movie as a "girlfriend" is that none of the women come. My "fake" button would be repeatedly pressed.

And their "couture," to me is a bad joke. Last decade's Barbie Doll. I'm saying that as someone who follows fashion.

I know they set up the rimming scenes and oral/anal so there's no actual feces involved-- the illusion of taboo breaking is perfected without risk. Same with the pile-driving-- looks like it went on for hours, when it's about a minute's worth of tape.

However, I don't like the anal followed by oral, even as an illusion, it's nauseating. Pile-driving,that's the usual "hardest fuck ever" idea, which can be arousing with the right people. And Ashton leaking something.. that's interesting. Was she actually aroused? I like female ejaculations because at least it "looks" like uninhibited satisfaction. Much as you like the cumshot yourself!

Thank you for some very good comments, that really made me think about not just this film, but porn films in general. I'll try keeping it in mind next time I review a film.

Regarding the montage-style editing, I don't fully agree with you on that. Yes, to some extent, it can be seen as disrupting the flow of desire, but when we are taking in the arousal with our eyes, building layers of images on top of each other can just as easily enhance the arousal. Rather than moving linearly from one position to another, you get different positions, angles and even scenes heaped on top of each other, thus generating even more imagery with which to get aroused. I like it, up to a point, but overdone it does get disruptive.

Yes, I agree that couples porn indicates pretty hair and make-up – something meant to be recognizable for women from fashion and lifestyle magazines, so as not to alienate any female viewers. If it looks like something Catherine Zeta-Jones would do, then perhaps it's okay to watch it. I realize this says more about the porn industry than women, but that's where I think it's at.

Which leads into the point about my girlfriend. I simply meant I wouldn't watch this film with my own, personal girlfriend and extended that as a pointer for others. She wouldn't enjoy the scenes – except perhaps the Krystal Steal one – and so I'd choose another film. As for my enjoyment of these scenes, they aren't lessened or enhanced by how I imagine my girlfriend would react, if she saw them. I don't feel guilty for watching them, or feel a certain, enticing taboo being broken by seeing them. I enjoy squirting scenes and piledriver scenes, but only watch them alone. Nothing more to it than that, I think.

As to their reactions being fake, I take that as a given. I don't have any illusions about the women – or men for that matter – being actually aroused during filming. It's film, and like any other film whatever goes on is acting to some extent. I like my porn to be fantasy rather than realism, so to speak, and often prefer the surgically-enhanced models to natural models, and don't mind the fake moans and feigned arousals.

And that really ties into the couture comment. It's taken from the film cover, and I simply used it to indicate that all the women in the film are of the mainstream, popular type – big boobs, long legs, etc. That this is in fact the very opposite of actual couture is true, in that sense these stars are most definitely off-the-rack and interchangeable by a hundred other models. However, the stars are high-profile and are meant to present a sort of luxury-type porn, hence the comment.

I do believe that Ashton Moore was actually turned on, and she did ejaculate. Some say all female ejaculation in porn is fake, I don't know, it looked real to me. It surprised me, too, that this would actually be included in the film, as it's a rather marginal practice (taboo-filled also, I guess) for such a mainstream film. It was a pleasant surprise, however, and I'm glad it was included. It does serve as the flip-side to the cumshot, and it would be nice to see it used more.
