Allan Bérubé is one of my most inspiring comrades and colleagues, whom I learned so much from, especially the scope of gay history and perspectives on working class gay life.
He died in 2007, but his dear friends, Estelle Freedman and John D'Emilio, have finished putting together a new collection of some of his most influential essays and stories. I wouldn't miss this for the world!
