Betty Jo's Valentines

  • Rooster
These are valentines from my mother's childhood scrapbook, "Betty Jo" Halloran. They were sent and received, from her siblings, grandparents, cousins, and friends, from 1929 to 1938, in Fargo, North Dakota, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Please enjoy them with my love. xoxo, Susie

I'm glad I came across this again.

A few weeks ago, I was attending my weekly Monday potluck with the DC Radical Faeries. While looking around the decor of one of the fellow Faerie's houses, I came across one of these crocheted penises! Imagine my delight and surprise! I had remembered learning about them somewhere, but I couldn't remember where. (Now, obviously, I realize it was your blog.)

The one I got to see was similar to the very top one in magenta, only it didn't have nearly the amount of strands of beads from it.

After talking to the owner of the phallic delight, I realized, yes, it is by the same artist.

They're fantastic!
