History's Passion, edited by Richard Labonté
Richard Labonté has brought together four M/M erotic novellas set in eras before "gay identity"existed. LaBonté has edited many fine erotica anthologies— his taste is superb— and I'm glad he set his mind to producing this collection of longer fiction.
We start with a story of soldiers in the Civil War finding comfort and passion in each other amongst the hardship in "Camp Allegheny," by Jeff Mann.
The book moves to a couple of Outlaws during the Depression in "Heaven on Earth," by Simon Sheppard.
Next, a mining camp's boy finds the tenderness he's been craving in the Gold Rush in "Tender Mercies," by Dale Chase.
Finally, there is the infamous biblical city Gomorrah in"The Valley of Salt," by David Holly— in which a virgin is sacrificed to temple priests. It is as hedonistic as you would hope.
Lustful, romantic and historically spot-on!
Narrated by Owen Godeep.
